Bio

Matt Cilento brings extensive coaching experience and a strong background in player development at the high school and collegiate levels. His coaching stops include Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach at Point Pleasant Boro High School, Assistant Baseball Coach at New Jersey City University (NJAC – Division III), and Head Baseball Coach roles at Arthur L. Johnson High School and Colonia High School. He has also served as the Head Varsity Football Coach at Point Pleasant Boro High School.

A former collegiate infielder, Cilento played at Barry University (1998–2001), where he earned the Earl Oster Leadership Award and ranks among the program’s career leaders in triples, assists, and double plays turned. He was a standout three-sport athlete at Colonia High School, earning All-State, All-County, and All-Conference honors, and was inducted into the Woodbridge Township Athletic Hall of Fame in 2023.

Cilento is currently a teacher at Point Pleasant Boro High School and lives in Point Pleasant with his wife, Kelly, and their four children.
